This sculpture was commissioned by the Tennents and Residents Association of Lorrimore Square. Workshops were organised with local youth groups.and residents of the area. they were invited to participate at all stages of the project. carving workshops were run at Art in the park.
The carvings were Inspired by the history of the site. lorrimore square once was the location of surrey gardens zoo, All manner of exotic animals were kept at this location.
The shape of the sculpture/seating area follows the shape of existing hard landscaping. circular in design allowing large no's of residents to congregate for annual celebrations and events.
